Welcome to Hillside Lawn Tennis Club's Web site. This site aims to provide information to existing members and to
people looking to join a tennisclub in the Southport area. HLTC is one of the friendliest clubs in the Southport area.

What's New 2010

  • Inter Club Floodlit Tournament 15h - 26th March for players from Division 4 and below.
  • League Fixtures, start week commencing 26th April, end July 26th.
  • 25th Anniversary Celebration - To be celebrated on Finals Day. 25 years at this site. 85 years since established.
  • Finals Day - Saturday 11th September, make a note in your diary.
  • Courts:

    Four all-weather tarmacadam courts, .NEW for 2010 - all four courts are now floodlit.

    Clubhouse:

    A spacious brick building, the clubhouse has changing rooms (both with showers), and a kitchen with fridge and
    cooking facilities Snacks and soft drinks are available for purchase. We also have table tennis and a small pool table.

    Club Sessions:

    Senior club sessions are on Wednesday evenings (7pm, ) and Sunday afternoons (3pm). All club
    members are welcome to come and mix in at these sessions, regardless of standard of play.

    Juniors:

    We have a thriving Juniors section, with Coaching sessions for members and non-members.
    Juniors have priority, over Seniors for the use of courts on Saturday mornings.
    Junior League Matches are also played on Saturday mornings throughout the summer.

    Coaching:

    Social:

    Various tournaments and social events are organised throughout the year. Details are available on the Coming Events
    page, and on the club notice boards and newsletter. We also have some friendly matches this summer, particularly for
    those members who don't play often in the Teams.

    Team Tennis:

    At present HLTC have five teams in the Southport and District Tennis League. This year our teams will play in the
    following Divisions: 2, 4, 7 and 9. Matches are played over 14 weeks from May to July. The majority of senior
    members get to play in these teams.

    Membership:

    We welcome new members of ALL ages and abilities. A membership Application Form is available here - please
    print the blank form, fill it in and post it to the address given. All members are given shoe tags as proof of
    membership - please use them. Keys can be obtained from Joan Upton or Christine Wilde. For your safety, and to
    avoid damage to the courts, please use proper tennis shoes with non-marking soles. Members can bring visitors - the
    visitors fee is £2 (seniors) or £1 (juniors).

     

    Subscriptions for 2010: (Due from 1st April. )
    Family Membership: 10% discount for 3 or more playing members from one family.

    Winter Members (1st Oct to 1st April) £30
